applies to:
Moodle 2
Add multiple files or folders to your course
Notes
The easiest way to add multiple files or folders to a course page is to zip them and then drag the .zip file onto the course page just as you would do with any other file. Moodle will ask you whether you want to unpack the .zip on the server and present the contents as a folder.
Tip
Zipping techniques vary by operating system, but in general you start by right- or control-clicking on the folder you want to zip. On a Mac you should see an option to "Compress Downloads:

Instructions
- Turn editing on
- Drag a .zip file from outside the browser window and hover over an area near the bottom of any course section
- Drop your file into the sensitive area that lights up when you hover over it
- Choose the option to "Unzip files and create folder" (actually the default, but good to confirm)
- Click the "Upload" button
