Get acquainted with the basic layout of a Moodle 2 course
notes
The navigation block in Moodle 2 is very extensive and allows you to move laterally from an activity in one course to another activity just about anywhere you have access to. Such an extensive navigation can become quite tall, so you may want to take advantage of docking as demonstrated in this video. By docking multiple blocks you can create a much cleaner working space.
Moodle 1.9 users looking for the switch-role button will find it in the "Settings" block which shows up by default near the bottom of the left sidebar.
